Anybody else out there indecisive? Well, reason #2 why I can't get tattoos (#1 needles, duh) is that my tastes change so often, I'm afraid to get anything permanently affixed to my skin. Well same goes with designing for my brand. I'm such a perfectionist about how it's all going to mesh together that I have totally scrapped entire collections and started over (I now understand that phrase "kill your darlings"). I treat Vignetterie like it's my Business Baby- I'm always saying, "Nah, waiting on the whole kid thing. I'm having a business baby this year!" I'm pumping all my time, money, dreams, & delusions of grandeur into this kid.
I had this completely different vision for what my line was going to be- but it's become something SO different, just a few months later. My original plan was to build an expensive, sleek product line, but then I realized that I love a cheap laugh, bright pink, kitsch, and glitter. So here we are, see below for a little glimpse of what's coming! I'm proud to have a line that's more true to my inner aesthetic- even if that means I have to check with manufacturers how they feel about printing profanity. THAT JUST FEELS SO ME. And something that is super important to me is producing my products in the USA! I'm actually using local vendors for my pins & keychains and it is so cool to know that I'm a small Ohio business supporting other Ohio businesses. BYAH!
